This classic hotel in Vienna opened back in 1873 and still retains it's status as one of the most iconic hotels in the world.

Major historical renovation of this grand hotel involving reconfiguration of all public areas. Ambitious update of the operations and food and beverage facilities with a clear masterplan and concept at the core of the interior design.

All design work had to run through the Viennese Historical Commission and to counter the existing fear of entering the former royal palace by the general public. This reputation was still present before the renovation.

By creating the Halle-N-Salon as the heart of the hotel with a bar and a concert hall for a variety of visiting artists.

The Imperial Café was enlarged, and the OPUS Restaurant was created within the listed space attributed to Joseph Hoffman.

Shortly after the opening, OPUS restaurant received their first Michelin Star. Alex Kravetz Design was also responsible for the purchasing assistance, signage design and logos for all outlets.
